Step 14 to Selling Your Home: You didn’t accept the buyer’s offer. What now?

Step 14 to Selling Your Home - We couldn’t come to agreeable terms with the buyer. What now?

You received and offer but after negotiating with the buyer but you haven’t been able to come to an agreement.

It’s okay to be disappointed, but sometimes you just can’t come to an agreement, and that’s just fine.

When we listed your home we found out what your bottom line is. If we receive what you perceive to be a lowball offer we’ll present the buyer’s agent with a counter offer. We believe you should counter all offers you aren’t willing to accept. Even if the offer price is significantly less than you’d be willing to accept.

Simply stated, some buyers like to test the waters to see how low sellers are willing to go. Don’t take it personally. The buyer isn’t trying to take advantage of you.

Remember.

The buyers don’t know you.

They’re just trying to get the best deal they can. Sometimes what’s best for them doesn’t match up to what’s best for you and when that happens there’s no deal to be made.

What does this mean for you?

We will continue the process of showings, marketing, and open houses. Keep a positive outlook, we will find the perfect buyer!
