Preparing your Home for Photos –Kitchen
Why Do We Do It?
When a new property is listed, photos are ordered, and this video cover why professional photography is so important and how to set up your home for success. The presentation of a home on the internet is critical because this is our first impression with buyers. Photos are the 1st line part of distinguishing your house from the other houses on the market by emphasizing the beauty and potential in your property.
I know we did a great job with the photographs when buyers say, “Yes, I want to see this home”. A quality photo series and 3D tour motivate a buyer to call me to schedule a showing of your home. Along with pricing the home correctly, this step is critical to getting your home under contract quickly.
Tips, tricks, and advice for preparing your home for photos.
Kitchen
Remove everything from the kitchen counters. The only thing you want to see on top of your counters is the faucet. This means you will need to put away the cutting board, the stand mixer, the coffee maker, everything on top of the counters. (Yes, you need to put away the countertop paper towel rack.) I understand that no one can use a kitchen this way and it’s only for this photo session and future showings.
After you’ve had photos taken, all we ask is that you keep the kitchen clean and decluttered for showings. Some people are not understanding of the fact that you are living in your home while it’s on the market. With your stuff off the counter, the buyers can imagine where their belongings will live in the space. We want to show emphasize the best version of the kitchen.
This is the 1st of 6 videos on Prepping Your Home for Professional Photographs. We will break down this process room by room to make sure you get the best results and earn top dollar on your home sale.
